Old Jacksonville Rd.

Went out for a little adventure last week. Doug's grandfather had built this fence about 30 years ago all by hand. An artist had came by and painted a picture of this fence and the church that is behind it so anyways we wanted to try and recreate the painting, but because it is full spring we didn't get a chance because the trees had blocked the church. So I ended up just shooting some fun pictures of the fence and around the area. It was nice to go out and explore just like back in the old SIU days with my Rolle. I hope to do more of these kinds of photos and make time to just carry my camera around. It gets me excited and makes me feel like I am doing something I love to do all the time. :) Have a great day!

Vacay!!

Doug and I won a "free" trip to the Bahamas on a Royal Carribean Cruise. I say "free" cause it wasn't but it was still worth it by far! It was so nice to get away from the midwest spring and be in summery weather. We went to Miami for a day and then headed on the cruise. We spent one day at Coco Cay island which is owned by the Royal Carribean. Which all of these photos are pretty much from. We also made a stop to Nassau Island. This was our first cruise and we had so much fun and lots of Pina Coladas! We can't wait to plan our next one!

Ashley & Andy Cont.

Last weekend, Ashley & Andy got married! These 2 are so cute and I love how all of these turned out. They had an evening wedding at the Par-a-dice hotel in East Peoria. The venue was so unique and had awesome chandlers! We got to go downtown Peoria to take the bridal party shots and everyone was so easy going. (That makes my job so much easier!) From there engagement shoot to their wedding I know this couple is meant to be together. They know how to have fun and I love that! I was impressed with all the small details that Ashley and her family had put together. Such a sweet family and I had so much fun working with them. Kaila & Jacob

I feel like it has been forever since I have got to shoot! Kaila & Jacob are getting married at the end of July and I am super stoked about it! Not only do I get to shoot their wedding but we will be cousins! :) Jacob proposed last December on the family farm in this tractor. What a special moment! Jacob will be taking over the family farm and what better way then to take their engagement photos here. I just love these two they are so sweet and I wish the best for them.

We decided on Easter Sunday to get together to take photos. I almost thought we were going to have to reschedule because God wanted it to thunderstorm and rain. But the skies cleared and gave us a beautiful windy afternoon to shoot. These are also taken with my new camera which was so much fun to use! As always these are my favs! Thanks for stopping by! :)

Brett's 1st Birthday Party

Brett just turned 1 on the 30th of January! I can't believe how fast kids grow up right before your eyes. It really felt like just yesterday she was just born! The Asbury family came together to celebrate the big day. Melissa did a wonderful job putting together all of the decorations for the party. I love the theme and the color combo. Brett had fun playing with all her friends that game to the party and loved eating her cake! I had a blast photographing the family and meeting new friends :)
