OMG aren't they so cute! Here is Keri & Jessie and what a great couple they are! They have been together for over a year and they are just adorable. These 2 were so easy going and willing to do all the silly stuff I had them do. With no complaining by the way! Thanks so much guys and I can't wait to get together to have a photo shoot with their dogs!

Taco Sunday
My family loves to get together and cook. One of the things that the whole family loves is Grandma Byrd's homemade taco shells. So about twice a year or so we all get together and help her make them and serve about 100 tacos or so for my huge family. I really like this unique thing that we do and it is special to my family. It is also really nice that everyone helps out. Even all the little kids try and do their best. What kinds of cooking does your family get together for? Here is some of all my little cousins that I just couldn't help take! Enjoy~

The Asbury Girls + Dylan
Here is my favorite family the Asbury's! I LOVE them. Last week I spent all week with Melissa while waiting for the FishNet golf tournament. I always love getting new photos of the girls and I can't believe how much they have grown since I saw them in January for Brett's birthday. And of course their is Dylan. I just love that kid. I guess I have a little soft spot for him since I have known him since he was 2. It is seriously crazy how fast kids grow up. These 2 girls are absolutely beautiful. :) Thanks again for checking them out!

FishNet Security
I was invited again this year to take photographs during the FishNet Security golf outing at the Whitmoor Golf Course. (a beautiful course btw) It was a hot and steamy day but the rain stayed away and I got some great pics the whole day. I love doing these kinds of events- everyone was so welcoming and willing to have their photograph taken which makes my job much easier. Thanks again guys for having me! Here are some of my favorites of the day.

Kaila's Bridal Shower
Kaila is getting married in July and these are just some photos of the bridal shower that we had for her. I am so excited for the wedding and can't wait for July to get here and neither can she! Her sister, Deb did a great job putting the shower together and making fun little games for us to play. My favorite was the bubble gum game where Kaila had to answer questions about Jacob and every question she got wrong she had to put another piece of gum in her mouth! Great idea! It was hilarious!
Here is Deb who is the bride's maid of honor and also the flower girl! These two were too cute!

Lacon IL
I love to explore small towns, it's the SIU or the Dan Overturf that has been installed in me. Doug and I have been driving through Lacon when we moved up to Milwaukee last year and everytime I always want to stop and take pictures of this place, but obviously hadn't had the chance. So last Friday I got the urge to go out and drive. I want to go back and shot some more. It is just so nice to go and shoot a past love I had. In college I did a series on abandon places for a final project and these made me think of them. I have created a new goal for myself to continue this love of documentary and hopefully I will find the time.

Old Jacksonville Rd.
Went out for a little adventure last week. Doug's grandfather had built this fence about 30 years ago all by hand. An artist had came by and painted a picture of this fence and the church that is behind it so anyways we wanted to try and recreate the painting, but because it is full spring we didn't get a chance because the trees had blocked the church. So I ended up just shooting some fun pictures of the fence and around the area. It was nice to go out and explore just like back in the old SIU days with my Rolle. I hope to do more of these kinds of photos and make time to just carry my camera around. It gets me excited and makes me feel like I am doing something I love to do all the time. :) Have a great day!
